bubble hasn't launched yet. The only thing this site does is take your email address and the area you live in, so we can tell you when it opens near you. This page explains exactly what that means.
No cookies, no tracking, no advertising. This site sets no cookies, doesn't follow you around the web, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone. That's why there's no cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to.
bubble is run by James Plant, trading as The Bearded Developer, a sole trader based in Essex, United Kingdom. That's who is responsible for your data.
Email hello@trybubble.app with any question about your data and a person will reply — not a ticketing system. If you need our postal address, ask and we'll give it to you.
| What | Why we want it | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To send you one email, when bubble opens in your area. | Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. |
| Your town or city | To know which area you're in, so that email goes out at the right time. | Your consent. |
| The first half of your postcode Optional |
A more precise sense of your area than a town name. It covers thousands of homes and cannot identify an address. | Your consent. |
| Which site you arrived from | To know which links are bringing people here. It's the referring web address only — never a browsing history. | Our legitimate interest in knowing whether our own links work. |
| Technical logs | Our hosting provider records IP addresses and request times to keep the site up and block abuse. We don't use these for anything else. | Our legitimate interest in a working, secure site. |
That's the complete list. We don't ask your name, your age, your gender or anything about who you're looking for — none of that exists until you decide to make a profile in the app itself, and that will have its own privacy notice.
Nobody, other than the two companies that run the technology underneath this site on our behalf:
Both act only on our instructions. We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anybody else, and we never will — there is no version of this business where the waiting list gets sold.
Until we've sent you the launch email for your area, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If bubble hasn't launched near you within 24 months, we'll delete your details and you'll hear nothing further. We'd rather bin an old list than sit on one indefinitely.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
You can withdraw your consent at any time, which for a waiting list means simply asking us to take you off it. It's as easy to leave as it was to join — one email to hello@trybubble.app and it's done, with no questions and no attempt to talk you round.
We'll respond within one month. There's no charge.
Tell us first and we'll try to put it right. If that doesn't work, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
There aren't any. Nothing on this page makes a decision about you, and joining the waiting list doesn't put you in any kind of ranking or profile.
We'll update the date at the top. If a change actually affects what we do with your data, we'll email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
